Hi I'm Cortana
Currently in India and most of the region Cortana is not speaking officially but
You can make Cortana to speak with some changes in your mobile.
Cortana currently in offline so when ever you speak with Cortana your request hit the cloud and based on Bing search it gives the result.
Cortana which is developed based on basic principle
Text to speech and Speech to Tex.

User : Hi Cortana
...now your words identified by Cortana and then it convert these speech signals into text and the text request sent to the Cortana server (Bing).
Cortana says : Hi Master
Now its a reverse process.

What you can do with Cortana..
Setting Reminder
Setting Alarm
Reminder when someone in the call or in message
Connect with Skype
Connect with Facebook
Setting a reminder when you leaving or arriving specified place.( based on your location you can set reminder )
You can play music and also Cortana can sing a song for you.
It can show your navigation to specified destination you should have here drive App otherwise its a Bing search.
You can search your locations.
You can have some fun with Cortana by asking some default questions.
You can say open different apps in your app list.

Most of the apps are getting to use Cortana in its Core.
The famous famous got new update with Cortana.
The cute Bing search fullyy dynamic you can speack instead of typing.
Cortana really the game changer in window phones.
